Unit 2-Masks and Cultures

How can we represent characters visually?

This unit is an IDu (interdisciplinary unit) between drama and visual art.

In drama class you are learning about masks from several different cultures. See powerpoint Here are some examples of masks you’ve been exposed too;

How do the shapes, colors, and symbols bring out the characters?

In art class we will use plaster bandages to make a mold of your partners face. This will be the base for your mask.
